Things to Do and Sights to See Here is a selection, listed roughly in order of

Friendly villagers and useful little shops. Some will deliver to the Villas if
you don't want to stray from the pool.
Pre-cooked food can be delivered to your villa.

Site of a Roman amphitheatre and rock tombs dating from the Lycian period.
Like most ancient sites in Turkey it is unspoilt by tourism.

A shaded park amongst the trees with a trout farm and attached Turkish cuisine
restaurant. Great for keeping cool and lots of fun.

Local Food
Local restaurants are basic but fun. For much wider choice try Fethiye.
Toros Mountains
The view behind the Villas. Wonderful scenery and long walks.
Arts and Crafts
Lots of exciting things to buy on the roadside and in town.
Fethiye
A pretty port unspoilt by high-rise development. Built around the Roman
Amphitheatre of Telmessos. Go to the old town for tourist shops. On the harbour front are day cruises and fishermen's boats.
Markets
A traditional market is held every Tuesday in Fethiye. Fruit and veg are
very cheap. Lots of clothes, "designer" goods etc.
Boat Trips
A wide variety of day trips leave from the harbour at Fethiye. For a larger
party chartering your own boat can be good value.
Scuba Diving
A range of PADI diving courses including taster dives for the beginner
Hisaronu
A resort town with tourist shops, restaurants, clubs, pubs and bars..
OluDeniz
A shallow lagoon, a beautiful beach, turquoise sea, shady pine groves. This is
the Turkish poster beach. See the
Oludeniz Beach web
site.
Calis
A pretty beach with a long promenade walk and a choice of restaurants and
bars. Buzzing at night in peak season.
ParaSailing and Paragliding
Plenty of activities if you want them. Parasailing at Fethiye and Paragliding
over OluDeniz bay.
Patara
A charming resort, famous for its 18km (11 mile) beach. The beach is closed at
night to protect the sea turtles that nest there. One of the best beaches in the
world.
Canoeing
A good day out is to rent canoes in Patara. You are taken up the river and paddle back down. Great Fun !
